Baseball: Chester vs. Penn Wood

Yesterday the Chester baseball team played against Penn Wood in a game at home that was rained out last week. The Clippers have suffered 3 losses so far this season but had a decisive win over Penn Wood, scoring 14 to 4.

1^st inning was scoreless. David Viera, Jr. was the pitcher for the Clippers. He struck out 5 Penn Wood batters. Matthew Pacheo had 3 RBIs. Glenn Simpson in left field (#9 position) had a double to drive in a run for Chester. 

Assistant Coach Williams said, “The team had a good strong defense, everybody played together.” Congratulations to the team and Coaches Mark Bennett and Kevin Williams for their first win of the season.
