Chester Lady Clippers Track Team opened the Spring 2011 season with two victories over Academy Park 72 to 69 and Chichester 80 to 60! Mattesha Sharpe led the way with 4 first place finishes. She won the 100 meters, 200, Long Jump, and ran on the winning 4 by 100 relay. Janasia Womack won the 800 meters and ran the anchor leg of the winning 4 by 800 relay. Sharpe and Womack were joined on the winning relays by Maya Nelson, LaQueena Ferguson, LaJee Barnes, Yimani Waters, Yasmin Waters, and Katya Richie. Other notable performances were turned in by Le’Azha Golson, Brittany Jackson, Tiannah Lovett, Alexandra Villalobos, Kamri Staples, and Javai Green.
Good job ladies and good luck at Diamond State Relays on Saturday and against Interboro on Tuesday.
