Black History Month at NCC

Last year a group of students from the district went on a trip to the National Constitution Center. The field trip was fun and educational, learning about the history of the United States. This month is Black History Month at the center. The events are free with admissions to the museum.

“Visitors to the Center this February can participate in a variety of events in honor of Black History Month. During daily interactive programs, guests can learn about the lives of our nation's greatest African American leaders, the history behind the Emancipation Proclamation, and more. Guests can also explore the Center's core exhibition, The Story of We the People, which highlights important moments in black history.”

View the museum’s top ten Black History list where students can take a self-guided tour of the exhibitions which include highlights of important moments in Black History. There is still time to go see the events at the museum. NCC even have a new blog: Constitution Daily, smart conversation about the Constitution.
