Columbus Elementary School at the The Nutcracker Ballet

The Pre-K Team at Columbus took a trip to Neumann College this morning to see The Nutcracker Ballet. But before they went to see this traditional holiday ballet, they were told the story and got a chance to get hands on experience to see what a real nutcracker looks like. Eighty children ages 3 to 4 attended with parents, teachers, and teacher’s assistance. Reports were that students were well behaved as they sat in awe watching this spectacular event. The trip was possible through a fundraiser and parent donations. The Pre-K Team thanks the parents for their support.

The Nutcracker Ballet was brought to Neumann College by The International Ballet Classique (IBC), “a non-profit corporation and the first and only professional ballet company in Delaware County, serving the Delaware Valley and surrounding areas. IBC presents the ‘Nutcracker’ each December, produces full length classical ballets as well as contemporary works, hosts ballet festivals, and offers lecture demonstrations throughout the region.”
